Biography

Born in Culver City, California February 14, 1990 to Shamon Doucet and Eric Lynn "EAZY-E" Wright, Marquise grew up in a strict and religious family. He was very musically inclined growing up, but when he tragically lost his Father at five years old it was an unbearable challenge to face as a young man. Marquise found solace in music, he had found within himself the same passion for music as his Father had. Growing up he had often wrote lyrics to express his state of mind and views of life. At 15 years old Marquise received a note pad and wrote rhymes, during and after school - his creativity flourished naturally. As one of EAZY-E's sons, it was destined that these skills were to emerge together with Marquise's own talents, but his family did not approve of his choice of music or the Hip Hop/Rap lifestyle. At 18 years old Marquise moved from home to pursue his dream of becoming a lyricist and musician. His musical influences being his Father, the Beatles, Erykah Badu, Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Marley, Guns N' Roses and other various artists.

He bought his own studio equipment shortly afterwards and met one of his cousins who shared many common views. Together they created a group called "The Bill Collectors" releasing two mix tapes in 2010, but due to differences later on, they parted ways. Marquise went solo and since then has gained notoriety and a solid fan base that continues to grow consistently. Engaging his fans personally via social media sites, live shows, being proactive and continually learning the business are his main priorities together with taking care of his family

Marquise is focused on making good music for everyone to enjoy, all ages, worldwide and he gives it his personal touch, the realness that today's music seems to lack. This is his destiny, it is in his blood and it is everything to him - a deep love, passion and art.

Yung Eazy fans say his sound is in comparison to Bow Wow, Tyga and Kendrick Lamar, but what sets Yung Eazy out from the rest is that unmistakable EAZY-E sound, carried down from his Father which lends to the fire Yung Eazy already has. Many people stick to mainstream music, playing it somewhat safe with their lyrics or choose to continue the hard core route with profanity; most times having the played out scenarios of money, power and women. The rare gift that Yung Eazy has is the ability to navigate through many genres of music because he is a skilled lyricist, writer and performer. There is also something else, he has a humble soul and is focused on making good music. Hard work, perseverance and trying to tell a story whether it be good or bad, is what rap is about. Yung Eazy is as real as they come, he too is keeping the legacy of his Father alive and the best part is - this is only the beginning.

December 24, 2012 will be when Yung Eazy's new mix tape drops and it will be available on Soundcloud, Hotnewhiphop.com and his other respective websites.
